Wild Goose Church International is virtual faith community founded as a part of the Progressive Christianity movement as well as the Great Emergence movement, which are founded on the principles and ethics found in the Phoenix Affirmations. We will seek a relationship with various religious groups as we organize; we consider ourselves "interdenominational." Our clergy leadership carries advanced degrees as well as multiple affiliations within the mainline church such as the United Church of Christ, the Episcopal Church, the Converging Community of Christ and the Progressive Christian Alliance. We don't have a set doctrine, creed or rules, but, instead, we accept everyone where they are in life and for who they are. We are building a legacy that comes from historic Christian roots, and we expound on those roots as we journey together in contemporary times, focusing on relevant and progressive theological frameworks. We seek to be transformed as we embark together to bring light, hope and love to the entire world through 100% ONLINE VIRTUAL ministry. We have chosen our name in honor INDIGENOUS traditions around the world that associate the WILD GOOSE with the HOLY SPIRIT who lives and breathes in us and throughout the whole universe. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome at Wild Goose Church International, a new church for a brighter tomorrow.

Rev. Dr. Bryan Demeritte,
M.S., M.Div., Ph.D.
Rev. Dr. Bryan has a long history leading in radically inclusive and extraordinarily hospitable congregations. Beginning as a youth and music ministry in the early 1990s, attending United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities, and pastoring four churches, including two new church starts, he has an extremely forward-looking view of what religion should be evolving into, and what it means to be a progressive Christian in the 21st Century. He also has nearly 30 years of experience working in public schools as a teacher, having also acquired a second master's degree in education.
As Bryan completed his Ph.D. in practical theology in August of 2020, and published a cutting-edge dissertation on the future of the church; his research focused on how we shape who we are to be, and how we see religious education in this era and beyond. He currently teaches theology as a part-time professor at Eden Theological Seminary. Bryan is a very interesting character - with an extreme love of sustainable agriculture, rescuing farm animals - especially chickens, eating and cooking in a healthy lifestyle, and working to make the world a better place. He is married to his husband Deron, and together they live a life of trying to bring peace and love to our community and our planet! Bryan would love to hear from you if you have any questions or interest in what we are doing virtually in our ministries! Email him today for more information or questions!
